LTC FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I play at the club as a non-member?

A non-member can play as the invited guest of a member up to 4 times per year. A non-member may not, however, reserve a court for themselves. A non-member may take lessons with an LTC Tennis Professional on an unlimited basis. All non-members must pay a $5 guest fee each time they play or take a lesson at LTC. A non-member my not use the fitness facility unless being trained by an LTC personal trainer.

If the non-member played in a USTA League this year, they are not permitted to play as a guest. Please have your USTA Team captain call the Club to schedule a USTA Team Practice (2 court minimum) instead.

How do I get my child into Junior Program?

Priority for Junior Program is given to members of the Lexington Tennis Club. Demand for Junior Program is so high that LTC is in the unfortunate position to have club members on the waiting list. Because of this situation, LTC is currently not adding non-members to the waiting list. If you are a member and would like to try to get into Junior Program or be added to the waiting list, please speak to Dan Erickson, the club manager.

How do I get a lesson?

LTC is proud to have a large and professional teaching staff. The teaching pros at LTC are responsible for scheduling their own lessons. As such, the club does not schedule for them. If you would like to get a lesson and do not currently have a relationship with one of LTC’s teaching pros, please call the club, and we will have one of our pros call you back.

Is the fitness center an additional charge?

There is no additional charge to use the fitness center for LTC members. However, if a member wishes to participate in a group fitness class or personal training, there is an additional charge for those services. Non-members do not have the right to use the fitness center unless they are participating in a group fitness class or personal training session.

How can I reserve a court?

A member can call to reserve a court up to one week in advance.

What is the cancellation policy for courts & lessons?

A court or lesson may be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance at no charge. In the event that a court or lesson needs to be cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, you will be charged for that court or lesson.

  • Fitness Tip of the Month
Add short bursts of cardio throughout a weight lifting routine. The bursts will keep your heart rate elevated throughout your routine boosting your metabolism. Try 1-5 minutes of jump rope, walking on an incline, running, biking, jumping jacks or climbing stairs.
    Tennis Tip of the Month
To generate topspin on your serve imagine that the ball were a clock, for a right-hander, the strings would contact the ball at the seven o'clock position and brush up to the one o'clock position. The racquet should be moving upwards and you should try to keep the ball on the strings for as long as you can. The toss should be slightly to your left and behind you.
